I am a Master of Music Therapy graduate student here at the University of Iowa, with a bachelor's degree in music composition and performance and a Master of Arts in Music Composition from Eastern Illinois University. I currently teach piano lessons at West Music in Coralville and serve as an Army musician in the 144th Army National Guard Band. My experience in music composition provides me with a unique perspective and has strengthened my attention to detail and ability to provide constructive feedback. As both a writing tutor and piano teacher, I strive to be flexible and open to new ideas. I welcome suggestions and new perspectives on writing, and I am committed to helping students establish their own voices as they improve their writing skills.
