Intro
The Teaching with Writing Obermann Working Group is an interdisciplinary and cross-college group dedicated to promoting and supporting writing across the curriculum. Our mission is to ensure that all students benefit from the University of Iowa's expertise in writing by supporting faculty efforts to include more writing in their courses. As an “action research” group, our activities include planning and implementing programming, including a biannual Institute for Teaching with Writing for faculty, a Writing Across Campus newsletter, and symposia and seminars with invited speakers. We are supported by the Obermann Center for Advanced Studies.
