I am a PhD candidate in the Department of Cinematic Arts here at UIowa. Some of my work has been published by BCC Press, Utah Historical Quarterly, and Ampersand: An American Studies Journal. I'm currently working on a dissertation about digital resurrection/reanimation in film and other media. I've worked as a writing tutor for many years (both here and at Boston University, where I'd gotten my MFA before moving to Iowa), and I love the dynamic experience of collaboratively digging into projects with my students. When I'm not writing, teaching, or tutoring, you might see me around town at FilmScene or Prairie Lights, or otherwise watching movies and/or playing board games with friends.
